Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 10, 2026

The short version: Nummy has no accounts and no login. Your saved recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists live on your device, not on our servers. The only thing that leaves your phone is the recipe video link you choose to import, which we send to our parsing service to turn it into a recipe.

1. Who we are

Nummy ("Nummy", "we", "us") is an independent iPhone app developed by Lautaro Carignani. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@nummy.site.

2. Information stored on your device

Your recipes, weekly plan, "cooked" marks, and shopping-list checkmarks are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not uploaded to us and we cannot see it. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.

3. Information sent to our recipe-parsing service

When you import a recipe, the app sends the following to our parsing service (hosted on Cloudflare) over an encrypted connection so it can extract the recipe:

  • The video or recipe URL you are importing.
  • Any caption or text you choose to paste to help parse a recipe.
  • Your language preference (e.g. English or Spanish), so the recipe comes back in the right language.

This information is used only to process that specific import and return a recipe to you. We may retain minimal request data briefly to operate, debug, and protect the service from abuse. We do not use it to build an advertising profile and we do not sell it.

4. Device identifier for fair use

To keep the import service fair and prevent abuse, the app generates a random identifier that is stored on your device and sent with import requests. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

5. Subscriptions

Nummy offers optional paid subscriptions. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or receive your card or payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (whether your subscription is active). RevenueCat processes limited technical and purchase-related data on our behalf. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Clipboard

When you use "Paste link" or share a video into Nummy, the app may read your clipboard only to detect a recipe link so it can start the import. Clipboard contents are not stored or sent anywhere except as part of an import you start.

7. What we do not collect

  • No account, name, email, or password (unless you email us directly).
  • No advertising identifiers and no third-party ad tracking.
  • No access to your photos, contacts, or location.

8. Children

Nummy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

9. Your choices

  • Delete your data: use "Delete Local Data" in the app's Profile screen, or delete the app to remove everything stored on your device.
  • Manage your subscription: from your Apple ID settings on your device.

10. International processing

Our parsing service runs on Cloudflare's global network, so an import request may be processed on servers outside your country. The data involved is limited to what is described in Section 3.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Nummy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
